The flu is a highly contagious viral infection. While it may be mild for some individuals, it can lead to severe illness, hospitalisation, and even death in otherwise healthy individuals. It poses a particularly serious risk for babies, individuals over 65 years old, people with underlying medical conditions, and pregnant women.
Immunisation is a safe and effective method to help protect against the flu. By getting vaccinated, you not only safeguard yourself, but also protect those who are too ill or too young to receive immunisation, thereby slowing down the spread of the disease.
Receiving the flu vaccine every year is crucial. The virus strains causing the flu change annually, and the vaccine is adjusted accordingly to match these strains. At Alive Pharmacy Warehouse, starting from mid-March, we will be utilising the quadrivalent vaccine for our flu immunisation service.

Lynn Stephen1 StarI've had two bad shopping experiences at "V Pharmacy" and am now getting the chance to voice my upset. In 2015 I had come down with a bad head cold and went to buy an antihistamine, I was asked to produce some form of identification like a drivers licence. I produced a current and valid drivers licence albeit from Dubai and only because my Australian one was in the post, which clearly gives proof of who I am yet I was told it was not acceptable! I left without any medication though clearly not well. I vowed then to never shop there again.
This year 2016 and me now working at Smithfield, I arrived at work at 8:45 to open the shop on Tuesday 1st March and discovered I had left my glasses at home - I rushed into "V Pharmacy" and hurriedly chose a pair of glasses. The cashier did the transaction for me even though the glasses did not have any price tags. I paid $21.95 and was charged $2.00 transaction fee, which I only discovered after I had later attempted to make the exchange.
When I put the glasses to use I was unfortunately faced with the simple fact they were not doing me any good as I felt nauseous using them for even a very short period. Out of desperation I got my son to bring me my own glasses, which he did by 10:00am. I did not get time to return to "V Pharmacy" to do an intended exchange until early the following Monday. As I explained my dilemma to the cashier, I pulled the glasses, in perfect condition, from the original case, she interrupted saying "oh you've taken all the tags off" I replied "I beg to differ there were never any tags on them" I gave my original till slip, she went to her manager and came back to basically tell me that because the vision indicator on the glasses and the slip differed I could not have bought them there!!
All I had wanted to do was exchange them, I did not appreciate being told I am liar - I angrily told her to keep them and the money. They however know where I work but have not attempted to resolve the issue and are happy to keep my money! Really, their uncooperative approach will gain them a life time of bad publicity for a mere $21.95. I for one will never recommend "V Pharmacy" to anyone ever!!Sunday 3rd July 2016
